Access to the PPO's library holdings

 

The principal facilities in Poland for providing access to industrial property publications and the information they contain are at the Library of the Polish Patent Office which holds source materials from the industrial property offices of over 40 countries and 4 international  IP right-issuing organisations.

The collections of patent and associated literture are made available:

Making copies of patent specifications and CD-ROM printouts available

In all, the Library holds some:

  • 13.750.000 patent documents on paper carrier 
  •  16.000 patent documents on microform
  • 12.000.000 patent documents on CD-ROM

Associated literature contains:

  • official gazettes
  • legal publications
  • methodical and professional studies
  • single-line journals and journals concerning all fields of technology
  • collection of books

 

Patent documents on paper carrier are rendered accessible on the spot, in the reading rooms of the PPO, where searches are also enabled on the CD-ROM databases (more). Written orders are also serviced at the PPO.
